NOTICE IS HEREBY GI VEN t hat under sec tion 69 o f the Ac t, Li verpool City Council has de termined t hat the ar ea descr ibed in t he Schedule belo w is an ar ea of special ar chitectural or his toric significance and that i t is desir able t o pr eserve or enhance i ts character or appear ance. Li verpool City Council has accordingly amended t he HUN TS CROSS AVENUE CONSERVATION A REA as descr ibed in t he Schedule below and illus trated in t he associa ted map.
The e ffects o f t his de termination on t he ar ea ar e as follows:
1. The Council is under a du ty t o pr epare pr oposals to ensur e t he pr eservation or enhancemen t o f t he area;
2. Planning per mission mus t be obt ained fr om t he Council for t he demoli tion o f any building in t he area;
3. Special publici ty mus t be gi ven t o planning applications for developmen t in t he ar ea;
4. In car rying ou t any func tions under planning legislation, in par ticular in de termining applications for planning per mission and lis ted building consen t, t he Council and t he Secr etary of S tate ar e r equired t o t ake in to accoun t t he desirability o f pr eserving or enhancing t he character or appear ance o f t he ar ea;
5. Permitted developmen t r ights ar e r estricted in a conservation ar ea and t herefore planning permission may be r equired for r oof al terations and t he ins tallation, al teration, or r eplacement o f microwave an tenna or i ts suppor t appar atus;
6. Advertisement consen t is r equired fr om t he Council for t he display o f an adver tisement unless t he adver tisement is exempt fr om con trol and has deemed adver tisement consen t;
7. Six weeks’ no tice mus t be gi ven t o t he Council before any w orks ar e car ried ou t t o any t ree in the ar ea;
SCHEDULE
Minor changes have been made t o apply a consistent appr oach in r elation t o buildings, property lines and public highways .
