CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

BRIGGATE, SILSDEN

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Briggate, Silsden intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Briggate from a point outside No. 25 Briggate to a point outside No. 29 Briggate.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Briggate (unaffected section), Bolton Road, Bell Square and Bridge Street.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 19:00 hours on the 24?? August 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on the 25?? August 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
