(ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 UNDER ARTICLE 4 (1)
(DIRECTION WITH NON IMMEDIATE EFFECT)
Notice is given that Hertsmere Borough Council has confirmed an Article 4 Direction made on 23 April 2026 under Article 4 (1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015.
The Direction will come into force on 6th May 2027.
The Direction applies to the Borough Council wards of Potters Bar, being Potters Bar Parkfield Ward, Potters Bar Oakmere Ward, Potters Bar Furzefield Ward and Bentley Heath & The Royds Ward.
The Direction relates to development comprising change of use of a building from a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended) to a use falling within Class C4 (Houses in Multiple Occupation) of that Order and withdraws permitted development rights for this type of development. An application will therefore need to be made to the Council for the grant of planning permission under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) before such development can be undertaken.
