PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION

PUBLIC EVENTS

Proposal: A green data centre connected to existing power networks, comprising multiple data centre buildings and associated car parking, landscaping, electrical infrastructure, access roads, and drainage.

Location: Land within Hunterston Estate, west of the A78 trunk road and south of the former Hunterston Marine Yard, Hunterston, North Ayrshire.

Initial pre-application consultation events will be held as follows:

25 August 2026, 1:00 pm–7:00 pm at West Kilbride Village Hall, Arthur Street, West Kilbride, KA23 9EN

26 August 2026, 1:00 pm–5:30 pm at Fairlie Village Hall, 72 Main Road, Fairlie, KA29 0AB

Comments on the proposal may be submitted directly to the prospective developer at the events, through the webpage, or in writing to: Hunterston Data Centre Limited, Suite 2, Ground Floor, Orchard Brae House, 30 Queensferry Road, Edinburgh, EH4 2HS.

Comments must be submitted no later than 9 September 2026. Please note that comments made at this stage must be submitted to the prospective developer using the contact details above and not to North Ayrshire Council. These comments do not constitute representations to the Council. If a formal planning application is subsequently submitted, there will be an opportunity to make representations directly to the Council.
