A recurring two-year management cycle is requested to enable the tree to be re-pollarded at approximately two-year intervals, maintaining the established pollard form and avoiding the need for more severe pruning in the future.
This mature Lime tree has put a large amount of regrowth since it was last pollard in late 2024, a repeat operation is necessary to prevent the tree from becoming over-dominant in its relatively restricted location.
A rolling two-year consent is requested to allow the tree to be re-pollarded on a cyclical basis. This will provide flexibility in programming the works while ensuring the tree continues to be managed in accordance with its established pollarding regime.
