Gloucestershire County Council - Multiple temporary road closures

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE 406125 NAAS LANE (LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 406125 Naas Lane, from its junction with the A48 for a distance of approximately 500 metres in a southwardly direction from the junction. The reason for the said closure is for level crossing maintenance works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 23:55hrs on 17th August 2026 until 06:00hrs on 18th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400019 BELMONT ROAD
(HEWELSFIELD AND BROCKWEIR PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400019 Belmont Road, from its junction with Brockweir Road to outside the property known as ‘Ingleside’ for a distance of approximately 70 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 17th August 2026 until 18:00hrs on 19th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS
(WEST DEAN PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below. 
SCHEDULE 

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.
There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works. The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted each night between 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs on a rolling programme commencing 17th August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 28th August 2026. WOOLASTON COMMON (WOOLASTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 400012 Woolaston Common from its junction with Brooklet Road to its junction with Sandytumps for a distance of approximately 500 metres.
The reason for the closure is for drainage works.
There will be no waiting, stopping, loading or unloading permitted throughout the duration of the said works
The road is expected to be closed and restricted from 17th August 2026 to 20th August 2026.
However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

(NEWLAND PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400195 The Rocks from outside of the property known as ‘Old House’ to outside of the property known as ‘jornary Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
The reason for the closure is for sewer repair works
The road is expected to be closed from 1st September 2026 until 3rd September 2026.
However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

of approximately 100 metres.The reason for the said closure is for poling works by Openreach.
The said road is expected to be closed between 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 1st September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400077 Joyford Hill Road from outside of the property known as ‘Lealands’ to outside of the property known as ‘Leyland House’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
The reason for the closure is for pole replacement works. The road is expected to be closed between 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs on the 2nd September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400100 and 403010 Buckshaft Road from its junction with Hudsons Lane to outside of the property known as ‘No.54A Buckshaft Road for a distance of approximately 450 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works for on behalf of Wales & West Utilities
The road is expected to be closed from 1st September 2026 to 8th September 2026.
