Notice is hereby given that Lairdmannoch Energy Park Limited, (“the Company”) with company registration number SC714903, having its registered office at Wind 2 Office, 2 Walker Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, EH3 7LA, has submitted Additional Information to the Energy Consents Unit relating to the planning application (Ref. No: ECU00004900) in respect of the construction and operation of Lairdmannoch Energy Park on land located northeast of Gatehouse of Fleet and approximately 10km west of Castle Douglas (Central Grid Reference NX 66233 62404). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be approximately 100MW comprising of 9 turbines with a ground to blade tip height of 180 metres providing 60MW, ground mounted solar providing 20MW and a battery energy storage system providing 20MW, and associated ancillary infrastructure, for a period of 40 years. The Proposed Development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced as part of the submitted planning application.
The Company has also requested a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.
The Company has now submitted Additional Information to Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating to the removal of Turbine 8 and the reduction in tip height of Turbine 6 and Turbine 9 from 180m to 149.9m. The Additional Information consists of reassessments of the landscape and visual, ecology, ornithology, noise, cultural heritage, climate change and carbon balance and forestry assessments.

Copies of the Additional Information Report, the application and the EIA Report discussing the Company’s proposals in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications with a plan showing the land to which it relates, are available for public inspection in person, free of charge, during normal office hours at:

All previous representations received by Scottish Ministers in relation to the application remain valid.

Any new representations on the additional information may be submitted via www.energyconsents.scot, using the relevant Project Name and/or ECU reference number. Please note that you must be in possession of a working email address to submit a representation virtually.

If you would prefer to submit your representation by post, please send to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.

All representations should be received not later than 7th September 2026. Scottish Ministers may be able to consider written representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the Company will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

Where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, they can cause a public inquiry to be held.
Following examination of the environmental information, Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:
• Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
• Refuse the proposal
