(A781 WHITESANDS CARPARK) (TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A781 Whitesands Carpark, Dumfries (8 spaces in parking area outside No. 64 Whitesands from 0700 to 1800 on 17/08/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate occupation of parking bays to accommodate the information “You Matter” bus. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C125N CAIRNHALL – PENPONT – CADGERHALL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C125n to the side of No.4 Garple Grove, Sanquhar from 0800 to 1600 on 20/08/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate emptying of public septic tank. Alternative route available via C125n, A76 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C201N MOFFAT ROAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C201n outside No.2 Moffat Road, Dumfries from 0800 on 19/08/26 to 1800 on 23/08/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water lead renewal.
Alternative route available via Moffat Road, Edinburgh Road, A75, Lockerbie Road and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U302N BACK ROAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U302n Simpson Road, Sanquhar, between its junctions with St Mary’s Street and Harvey’s Wynd from 0800 on 17/08/2026 to 1700 on 28/08/2026. The closure is necessary to facilitate upgrading of existing HV power cable.
Alternative route available via Harvey’s Wynd High Street, Church Road, U462n, U463n, St Mary’s Street and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
