NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF LAND CONSISTING OF OPEN SPACE LAND
NORTH OF PRINCE CHARLES AVENUE AND SOUTH OF HYDE PARK ROAD, MACKWORTH, DERBY

Notice is hereby given under Section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Derby City Council (‘the Council’) intends to dispose of an area of land consisting of public open space, measuring approximately 0.56 hectares (1.39 acres) located north of Prince Charles Avenue and south of Hyde Park Road, Mackworth, Derby DE22 4BG by way of a long leasehold disposal.

The disposal is intended to enable the development of a new primary care facility and associated parking subject to the successful acquisition of statutory planning permission.

A copy of the plan showing the exact boundaries of the land intended to be disposed of (identified by red edging) may be inspected at the main offices of Derby City Council, the Council House, Corporation Street, Derby DE1 2FS from 9.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and viewed online at www.derby.gov uk.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed disposal of the open space land must make their objection in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made.

All objections must be received no later than 17.00 on 21st August 2026 – 14 days from date of first publication.

The Council is legally required to consider any objections before making a final decision as to whether to proceed with the disposal.
