COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council has made the Wolverhampton City Council
(33 Shawbury Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 0NX)
Compulsory Purchase Order 2026 under the Housing Act
1985 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981. It is about to
submit this Order to the Ministry of Housing, Communities
& Local Government for confirmation and, if confirmed, the
Order will authorise Wolverhampton City Council to
purchase compulsorily the land described below for the
purpose of the provision of housing accommodation.
A copy of the Order and of the accompanying map may be
seen at all reasonable hours at Main Reception,
Wolverhampton City Council, Civic Centre, St Peter’s Square,
Wolverhampton, WV1 1RG. A copy of the Order and of the
accompanying map may also be viewed online at
www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/housing.
Any objection to the Order must be made in writing to The
Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government,
Planning Casework Unit, 23 Stephenson Street, Birmingham,
B2 4BH, or by email to before
7 September 2026 and should state the title of the Order, the
grounds of objection and the objector’s name, address and
interest in the land.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND
Approximately 320.5 square metres of land known as
33 Shawbury Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 0NX.
