Regulation 19 – Preparation of a draft Local Plan

From Monday 10 August to Tuesday 22 September 2026, the Council is inviting representations on its draft Regulation 19 Local Plan. The Local Plan will cover the administrative area of Basildon Borough Council.

Availability of documents for Inspection

A digital copy of the Regulation 19 Local Plan will be available through the Council’s consultation portal, Commonplace, here: https://basildon-lp-reg19.commonplace.is/

Paper copies of the Regulation 19 Local Plan will be placed in the Basildon Borough Council Office and in our local libraries too, at Basildon, Wickford and Billericay. Opening hours are generally between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday.

Submitting Comments

This is your final opportunity to comment on the Proposed Submission Draft Basildon Borough Local Plan before we send it to central government for examination.

All representations will be made available for public inspection and personal contact details will be redacted.
