What is planned?

The following applications have been made to the City Council and are required to be advertised under the above Acts.

26F/2114 - 22 Caledonia Street (7) Applicant INM & MC Properties Ltd. To erect three storey rear extension and make external alterations in connection with use of the ground floor as a Public House and the upper floors as 2 no. flats.

25F/3524 - Esmeralda, Carnatic Road (18) Applicant Philip Ball. To erect no. 4 storey block comprising of 12 no.flats with associated works, including hard and soft landscaping, new bin and cycle stores to rear and works to front boundary wall, following the demolition of the existing on-site buildings.

26F/1981 - 116 Bold Street (1) Applicant Jason Maher. To carry out alterations to shopfront, including fenestration and widening of existing ramp.

26H/2104 - 116 Adelaide Road (7) Applicant Mrs Amelia Irwin. To erect a single storey extension and dormer to rear with 2 no. roof lights to front and rear.

26H/1688 - 18 Cheltenham Avenue (17) Applicant Harry Van Breemen. To erect a single storey extension to rear following demolition of existing outbuilding.

PUBLICATION OF THE LIVERPOOL LOCAL PLAN 2025-2043

Notice is hereby given that Liverpool City Council will publish the Liverpool Local Plan 2025-2043 under Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.

This notice is published on 6 August 2026 in advance of the commencement of the statutory representation period on 10 August 2026.

The Liverpool Local Plan 2025-2043 sets out the Council's vision, strategy, policies and site allocations to guide future development and use of land within the administrative area of Liverpool City Council up to 2043.

The Council intends to submit the Local Plan to the Secretary of State for independent examination following this Reg 19 consultation and due consideration of the representations. Representations are invited on whether the Plan is legally compliant and whether it is sound.

Period for Representations

The representation period will commence on Monday 10 August 2026 and close at midnight on Sunday 20 September 2026. Representations received before or after this period may not be accepted. Only representations received within this period will be submitted to the Secretary of State for consideration as part of the independent examination of the Local Plan.

Inspection of Documents
The following documents are available for inspection during the representation period: Liverpool Local Plan 2025- 2043; Policies Map; Sustainability Appraisal incorporating Strategic Environmental Assessment; Habitats Regulations Assessment; supporting evidence documents; and the Statement of Representations Procedure. These documents can be viewed online at https://www.liverpool. gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/plan-making-inliverpool/ liverpool-local-plan-2043/ and inspected during normal opening hours at the Cunard Building, Central Library and community libraries across the city.

All representations received will be submitted to the Secretary of State for consideration as part of the independent examination. Copies of representations cannot be treated as confidential and will be made publicly available. Persons making representations may request to participate in hearing sessions held as part of the examination.

Any comments you want to make must be received by 27th August 2026 and can be made online or in writing to the Director of Planning & Building Control, Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool, L3 1AH. In the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, for a householder application only, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
