ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005
POST-ADOPTION STATEMENT NOTIFICATION UNDER PART 3 - SECTION 18
The Climate Action Plan (CAP) has been the subject of the SEA process. This is a systematic process for considering the likely significant environmental impacts of the options and proposals within the Plan. The Post-Adoption Statement outlines how the assessment findings and the comments received during the public consultation, both on the Plan and the Environmental Report, have been taken into account. The statement is designed to improve the transparency of the decision-making process within policy documents. It is a legislative requirement to prepare this report in accordance with Section 18 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005. The SEA Post-Adoption Statement for the CAP along with the corresponding Environmental Report can be viewed online or in person on request during normal office hours within the Land Planning and Development Department at Southbank House, Southbank Business Park, Kirkintilloch, G66 1XQ.
