What is planned?

Advertisement for a Notification of Pre- Application Consultation prior to submission of a Planning Application being submitted to South Lanarkshire Council for the Proposed development at Crossbasket Castle Hotel, Stoneymeadow Road, Blantyre, G72 9UE.

Description of Proposed development: Mixed-use development comprising licensed hotel, guest cabins, restaurant and leisure facilities, parking and access improvement and associated works.

Two public engagement events are planned for this Pre- Application consultation period.

The first event will take place on Wednesday 12th August 2026 from 2pm to 7pm in the main reception at Crossbasket Hotel, Stoneymeadow Road, Blantyre, G72 9UE. Following this event, any persons wishing to make comments on this development can do so by Friday 14th August 2026 by emailing admin@denholmpartnership. co.uk or sending a letter to Denholm Partnership Architects, 11 Dunira Street, Comrie, PH6 2LJ.

The second event will take place on Wednesday 26h August 2026 from 2pm to 7pm in the main reception at Crossbasket Hotel, Stoneymeadow Road, Blantyre, G72 9UE. Following this event, any persons wishing to make comments on this development can do so by Friday 28th August 2026 by emailing admin@denholmpartnership. co.uk or sending a letter to Denholm Partnership Architects, 11 Dunira Street, Comrie, PH6 2LJ.

A representative from Denholm Partnership Architects will attend both events to discuss the proposals. Any comments made during this pre-application consultation period to the prospective applicant are not representations to the local planning authority. On submission of a planning application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to South Lanarkshire Council, as the local planning authority.
