The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.29) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a southern part of Nutgrove Road at Rainhill in the Borough of St. Helens, Merseyside. This is to enable development as permitted by St Helen’s Council under reference P/2025/0442/FUL.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO2427948). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Rainhill Post Office, 509 Warrington Road, Rainhill, L35 4LP.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 30 July 2026.
