The Winchester City (Parish of Durley) (Part of Durley Public Footpath 22) Public Path Diversion Order 2026
The above Order was made on 27th July 2026. The effect of this Order will be to divert a section of Durley Public Footpath 22 running from point A to point B, denoted on the Order Map as a solid black line, and create a new section of footpath running from point A to B, denoted as a hatched black line on the Order Map. The original section of the footpath has an overall distance of 328 metres and a width of circa 1 metre. The new section of footpath will have an overall distance of 329 metres and a width of circa 1.5 metres.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be viewed free of charge at Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester SO23 9LJ from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and on the Council's website: https://www.winchester.gov.uk/public-notices/. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £2.00.
Representations about or objections to the Order must be in writing and received by the Public Law Manager, Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ or via email to legal@winchester.gov.uk no later than 31st August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that because the making of the Order is a legal process involving a public right of way any representations or objections, including the name and address of the person making the representation or objection, may be made public.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Winchester City Council has authority to confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment for confirmation any representation or objection which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
