Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order, Highways Act 1980 Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, The North Yorkshire Council, The Public Footpaths 15.30/3, 15.30/4, 15.30/19 & 15.30/20 Denton Reserve Denton, Diversion Order 2025 On 03/07/26, North Yorkshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 & Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the confirmed Order is to divert the public footpath described below & modify the Former West Riding of Yorkshire Area No. 1 Outside Dales Definitive Map & Statement accordingly. Public Footpath 15.30/19 running from SE1467 4994 to SE1452 5040, will be diverted onto new alignment from SE1467 4994 to SE1452 5040 via SE1467 5011 & SE1458 5036. Also Footpath 15.30/20 running from SE1546 5102 to SE1546 5080 will be diverted onto a new alignment from SE1546 5102 to SE1547 5080 via SE1549 5083. Also Footpath 15.30/4 running from SE1489 5020 to SE1519 5009 will be diverted onto a new alignment from SE1489 5021 to SE1519 5009; & from SE1523 5025 to SE1549 5044 it will be diverted to run from SE1523 5025 to SE1543 5024 to SE1549 5044. Also Footpath 15.30/3 between SE1550 5045 & SE1549 5044 will be diverted to run SE1550 5045 to SE1549 5045 to SE1549 5044; & from SE1453 5083 to SE1454 5084 to SE1473 5083 it will be diverted onto a new alignment from SE1453 5083 to SE1473 5083 via SE1454 5086. The widths will be 2.5m & the surfaces will be grass, earth & stone tracks. A copy of the confirmed Order & order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Harrogate library, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate HG1 1EG, North Yorkshire until 10/09/26. The Order comes into force on the date on which the Authority certifies, in accordance with Section 119(3)(b) of the 1980 Act, that work to the new sections of path, described in part 2 of the Schedule, has been completed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 30/07/26, make an application to the High Court.
