What is planned?

PRE‐APPLICATION COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
Proposal: The i4C Innovation and CleanTech Centre development comprises a four-storey building including a range of accommodation types to facilitate SME business and innovation activity encompassing SME workspaces including workshops, light industrial use, office and co-working office space, car parking, internal access road to make provision for future access to lands located directly to the south, landscaping and ancillary uses
Location: Lands at St. Patrick’s Barracks, Demesne Avenue, Ballymena, BT43 7QA
How information may be obtained concerning the proposed development:
An in-person Public Consultation Event will be held on 12th August 2026 from 4.30pm – 8pm at ECOS Hub, Kernohans Ln, Ballymena BT43 7QA. This event will give members of the public the opportunity to find out more about the proposal and provide feedback to the project design team.

The consultation period will take place from 12th August 2026 to 9th September 2026, for a statutory period of 28 days. During this phase, the project website will be available to view and provide comments on the proposal.

The pre-application consultation period will begin on 12th August 2026 and formally end on 9th September 2026. Members of the public must provide their feedback before 9th September 2026.

Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted, neighbour notifications and Council publicity will be undertaken, and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
