The following Proposals are the subject of an application submitted to the Council.

26/01688/FP -16 Leys Avenue, Letchworth, Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3EU -Replace no.10 existing windows to first and second floors on south elevation of building.

26/01579/FPH - 64 Stockens Green, Knebworth, Hertfordshire, SG3 6DQ -Replace existing windows to front, side and rear elevations.

26/01695/FPH – Pendmere, Fore Street, Weston, Hertfordshire, SG4 7AS - Erection of detached garden room/office to front garden.

26/01623/FPH - 10 Sollershott, East Letchworth, Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3PL - Single storey rear extension following demolition of existing rear extension. Insertion of ground floor side window. Rear garden decking area with associated access steps and fencing.

26/01633/FPH - 8 Walsworth Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG4 9SP - First floor rear extensions to include Juliet balcony over existing bay window. Alterations to existing fenestration including new first floor obscure glazed side window and installation of external wall insulation following demolition of existing chimneys. Installation of air source heat pump and installation of solar panels to existing side roof slopes. New steps to existing rear terrace, addition of raised decking on terrace and freestanding Pergola.

Proposal Affecting A Listed Building Or A Building Of Special Architectural Or Historic Interest

26/01612/LBC - Methodist Church, Whitehorse Street, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6QB - Internal re-modelling and refurbishment including demolition of 1980s insertions, installation of a first floor throughout the building, installation of stairs and platform lift to first floor, installation of W.C., provision of external fire escape stair and fire exit to the rear of the building, alterations to existing fenestration including secondary glazing, and installation of no.8 rooflights to the slated roof. Removal of yew tree to front elevation and installation of sign board to front elevation.

26/01652/LBC - 84 Ridge Road, Letchworth, Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 1PT - Replace 7 no. single-glazed timber-frame windows with double-glazed, timber-frame windows and replace front door and frame.

Proposal Affecting The Setting Of A Listed Building And Affecting A Conservation Area

26/01616/FP - Methodist Church, Whitehorse Street, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6QB - Installation of external fire escape stair and fire exit to the rear of the building, installation of rear entrance doors, and installation of no.8 rooflights to the existing slate roof. Modifications to hard landscaping including removal of steps and installation of level access and external paved area, refurbish front gates and replace existing rear/side gate, alterations to existing fenestration, installation of an air source heat pump unit and upgrades to existing external lighting. Installation of a church sign board on posts to front elevation following removal of front elevation yew tree.

26/01710/S73 - 23a Hitchin Street, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6AQ - Removal Condition 7 (Archaeological Written Scheme of Investigation) and vary Condition 8 (Installation of fire sprinkler system) of planning permission reference 25/00018/FP granted on 22/10/2025 for Change of use from a funeral parlour - E(c)(ii), to 4 number dwellinghouses - C3(a) and associated single storey extensions. Removal of existing entrance portal and installation of new privacy gates following demolition of existing car port roof structures (as amended by plans nos. PL001A PL202A received 26.08.2025).

Any person who wishes to make representations about the Proposal should submit them in writing to this office by no later than 23 days from the date of this notice. For householder applications, in the event of an appeal against refusal of planning permission which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
