PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above order was made on 16th July 2026. The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath running from a point to the west of an existing artificial grass pitch on the Prairie Playing Fields on the borough boundary at Grid Reference SD8431 3523 (Point A) running in a NNW direction for 390m to a point at the rear of 536 Colne Road where it meets public footpath FP1316013 and FP1316014 at Grid Reference SD8448 3558 (Point B) to a line running from a point on the Prairie Playing Fields on the borough boundary at Grid Reference SD8431 3523 (Point A)
running in a generally northerly direction for 300m to a point on public footpath FP1316013 to the east of a railway footbridge at Grid Reference SD8432 3551 (Point C) as shown on the order map. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Number One Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7LJ. Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Legal Services Manager, The Borough Council of Pendle, Nelson Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7LG not later than 25th August 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, The Borough Council of Pendle may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
