Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water

Scampston Farming Company Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence 2/27/27/271/R01 as follows: add the purpose of direct spray irrigation and filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation between 01 April and 31 October inclusive, add a new abstraction point at National Grid Reference SE 86754 74363, and increase the authorised annual quantity from 9,545 cubic metres to 49,545 cubic metres.

The variation also seeks to include licence 2/27/27/271/R01 into the existing aggregate with licences NE/027/0027/047,

NE/027/0027/017/R01, NE/027/0027/018/R01 and 2/27/27/153 and amend the condition from a 1-year aggregate to a 5-year rolling aggregate period.
