PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 14 (PART) – PARISH OF NORTH WINGFIELD
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 1 of 2024
On 18 June 2026 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order without modifications.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the whole width of that part of North Wingfield Public Footpath No 14 commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 42491 65576) and proceeding in a south westerly direction to Point B (GR SK 42294 65414), a total distance of approximately 256 metres or thereabouts and create an alternative footpath for use as a replacement to a line running from A 2 metre wide rolled stone-surfaced footpath upon the land situate to the west of Meadow Road, Holmewood in the Parish of North Wingfield, commencing from Point C (GR SK 42469 65594) and proceeding in a generally south south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 6 metres to Point D (GR SK 42472 65588), then turning to a south westerly direction for approximately 49 metres to Point E (GR SK 42446 65548). Then changing to a tarmacadam surface as it crosses an estate road and pavements in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres to Point F (GR SK 42443 65539). Then changing to a 2 metre wide rolled stone surfaced footpath in a south westerly direction for approximately 48 metres to Point G (GR SK 42406 65510). Then changing to a tarmacadam surface as it crosses an estate road and pavements in a south westerly direction for approximately 9 metres to Point H (GR SK 42399 65504). Then changing to a 2 metre wide rolled stone surfaced footpath in a south westerly direction for approximately 46 metres to Point I (GR SK 42363 65475). Then changing to a tarmacadam surface as it crosses an estate road and pavements in a south westerly direction for approximately 12 metres to Point J (GR SK 42353 65467). Then changing to a 2 metre wide rolled stone surfaced footpath in a south westerly direction for approximately 80 metres to Point K (GR SK 42292 65416), a total distance of 261 metres or thereabouts as shown on the order map.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices, 2013, Mill Lane, Wingerworth, Chesterfield, S42 6NG from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays to Fridays.
This order comes into force on 18 June 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from 23 July 2026 being the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
