A PRE-APPLICATION PUBLIC CONSULTATION EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON:
Tuesday, 4th August 2026, 3pm to 7pm
Location:
Canavan’s Hotel, 232 Omagh Rd, Garvaghy, Dungannon, BT70 2DX.
The Proposal:
Erection of a Battery Energy Storage System Facility C.120 MW (BESS), including 1no.
switch house with control rooms, storage containers and office trailer, lighting and closed
circuit TV Columns, new site boundary fencing, access and ancillary development works.
Site Location:
Lands immediately South of Omagh Road and approx. 150m Northeast of No.174 Omagh
Road, Garvaghy.
Providing Feedback:
As part of the Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC), and in line with the
latest planning regulations, a dedicated website for this proposal is available at:

In addition to the in-person public consultation event, this website has the facility for
members of the public to leave feedback on the proposal, and will remain live for
comments until 4th September 2026, 5pm.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to Mid
Ulster District Council at this time. Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not
representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is subsequently
submitted to Mid Ulster District Council, normal neighbourhood notification and publicity will
be undertaken at that time and you will have the opportunity to make formal
representations regarding the proposal at that time.
