The Secretary of State gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of an area of unnamed highway as lies off Rochdale Road at Manchester, in the City of Manchester of Manchester City Council.
If made, the Order would authorise the stopping up only to enable development to be carried out should planning permission be granted by Manchester City Council. The Secretary of State gives notice of the draft Order under Section 253 (1) of the Act.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Shudehill Post Office, 62 Shudehill, Manchester, M4 4AA in the 28 days commencing on 22 July 2026, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the addresses stated below quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/6349.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 19 August 2026.
