COLCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

Footpath 186 Colchester

The above order made on 9th July 2026 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 for the stopping up of the length of Public Footpath 186 Colchester, being 8–10 feet in width, running in a south easterly direction from Point A to Point B for a distance of approximately 116 metres, shown by a solid black line on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order and Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at:

from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at a price of £10.00.

Compensation for depreciation or damage for disturbance arising as a result of the coming into force of the order is payable under section 28 of the Highways Act 1980.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to:

not later than 29 May 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Colchester City Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order.
