Hergest Ridge and Hanter Hill Common - Restricted works application

HERGEST RIDGE AND HANTER HILL COMMON

Hergest Ridge and Hanter Hill Commoners Association have applied to the Welsh Ministers for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Hergest Ridge and Hanter Hill Common.
The proposed works are to provide a water supply for the livestock grazing the Welsh side of common. This includes the installation of 1.39km of underground pipe and four water troughs, being concrete troughs on concrete bases. The water supply will extend from an existing supply on the English side of the common
Part of these works have already been completed following approval on the English side, but this notice applies to the proposed works located across the Welsh side of Hergest Ridge Common.
A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Balfours LLP, The Estate Office, The Vallets, Whitfield, Hereford, HR2 9BA during normal office hours until 31st August 2026.
