NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF AN ASSEST OF COMMUNITY VALUE

North Yorkshire Council has received notification from the owners of Newby & Scalby Community Hall, Scalby Road, Scalby, Scarborough, YO13 0RA that they intend to dispose of part of the above property. The property is currently listed on the Council’s Register of Assets of Community Value.
Under the Localism Act 2011 (Section 95-97), a moratorium period on disposal of the property exists from 9 July 2026 to 19 August 2026. During this time disposal of the property/land is not permitted, unless it falls within an exemption as outlined in Annexe A of the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012.
