5/2026/0959 - Variation of Condition 2 (approved plans) of planning permission 5/2024/1748 dated 29/01/2025 for Single storey rear extension, replacement and insertion of new rooflights, alterations to openings, new fenestration and the construction of rear garden outbuilding. At: 73 Sopwell Lane, St Albans.

5/2026/1072 - The proposal comprises the installation of four decorative brick gateposts, arranged as two gateposts at each of the existing driveway entrances. No gates are proposed. The gateposts will be constructed in brickwork to match the existing dwelling and finished with sandstone or similar coping stones. Each gatepost will incorporate the property number and a small external light for its illumination. The proposed gateposts will be comparable in scale, design and materials to existing examples along Park Avenue North, the driveway surface will also be refurbished separately; however, planning permission is sought solely for the installation of the four gateposts. 5/2026/1211 - Conversion of existing garage into a living room. New and replacement doors, windows & roof light to the existing house, with minor internal layout alterations. At: 4 Townsend Lane, Harpenden.

5/2026/1225 - Conversion of garage to habitable room, ground floor infill extension at front of house, single storey rear extension, replacement of existing windows and alterations to openings. Air conditioning unit and air source heat pump to be placed in back garden and two rooflights to be added to rear slope of main roof. At: 15 Heath Road, St Albans.

5/2026/1232 - Demolition of 5-bedroom dwellinghouse and construction of replacement 5-bedroom dwellinghouse with loft accommodation and rear dormer window. At: 11 Grange Court Road, Harpenden.

5/2026/1233 - Single storey rear extension. Alterations to rear elevation. At: 7 Ridgmont Road, St Albans.

Comments may be made in writing to: The Development Management Team, quoting the reference number, not later than 08/08/2026 (23 days after publication date). Please note your correspondence will be available for inspection by the public and a redacted version (without signature, email or telephone number) will be published on the website. Any comments that you make about this proposal will be copied to the Planning Inspectorate in the event of an appeal and will also be published on their website. In the event of an appeal on a householder application (or a minor commercial or advertisement application, which is to be dealt with by written representations), any comments you have made will also be sent to the Planning Inspectorate but there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.

The Council gives warning pursuant to its powers under Section 225 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, that it will remove or obliterate any sign/advertisement illegally displayed within the administrative boundaries of St Albans City & District Council.
