The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a length of unnamed highway including its highway verge as leads off Stramshall Road at Stramshall, in the Borough of East Staffordshire.
If the order is made, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development as permitted by East Staffordshire Borough Council, under reference P/2021/01689. Copies of the draft order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Uttoxeter Library, 57 High Street, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, ST14 7JQ in the 28 days commencing on 14 July 2026, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting SUO7001746) at the address stated below.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 11 August 2026.
