Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to vary the maximum fares for Hackney Carriages on or after 5 October 2026, as set out below:

This represents a ten percent increase in fares. Fares were last increased in 2023.

A copy of this Notice shall for the period of fourteen days from the date of publication be deposited at the offices set out below and shall at all reasonable hours be open to public inspection without payment. Any persons wishing to object to the proposed fares should submit their objection in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made to the undersigned by not later than 14 days from the date of this publication.
