CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 17 (KEIGHLEY) (PART) DIVERSION ORDER 2026
LAND OFF SHANN LANE, KEIGHLEY
The above Order was made on 7 July 2026 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert the part of Public Footpath No. 17 (Keighley) off Shann Lane, Keighley marked by a bold black line between points A-B on the Order map; and to create two alternative footpaths. The first alternative footpath (“Route 1”) is marked by bold black dashes between points A-D-C-F-B on the map. The second alternative footpath (“Route 2”) is marked by bold black dashes between points D-E-G-H-F on the map.
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be examined on the Council’s website https://bradford.moderngov.co.uk/mgConsultationListDisplay.aspx. They may also be seen free of charge during normal office hours Monday to Friday at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY and at Keighley Town Hall, Bow Street, Keighley BD21 3PA. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased there.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Director of Legal and Governance, Legal & Democratic Services, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council quoting reference CORP/PCD/MW/418754 or by e-mail to legalobjections@bradford.gov.uk to be received no later than 12 noon on 13 August 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
