Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine Lancashire County Council The Lancashire County Council (Lathom High School) DMMO 2019 and will attend at: Tanhouse Community Enterprise, Ennerdale, Tanhouse, Skelmersdale, WN8 6AN On 30th September 2026 at 10.00am.
To hold a hearing into the Order
The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by adding a 3-7 metre wide public footpath from a point on the unnumbered cycleway east of the subway under Glenburn Road (point A on the Order Map) passing through the grounds of Lathom High School in a generally easterly and then north easterly direction along a tarmac roadway between the school buildings and adjacent school fields and tennis courts to point B where it meets highway F8761 (known as Summer Street); a total distance of approximately 160 metres and shown as bold broken lines marked A-B on the attached Order Map.
