HISTORIC CHURCHES COMMITTEE FOR THE DIOCESES OF LIVERPOOL, LANCASTER, SALFORD AND SHREWSBURY

Application reference #1283 dated 30/06/2026 has been received by the above Committee for approval of the following works to an exempt ecclesiastical building.
1. Cathedral Church of St Peter (Church) - Lancaster. Grade II* (Listing Number: 1214397)
2. Works Proposed:
Replacement/ recasting of the Fourth Bell in the Belfry together with the bells associated accessories. The proposals are described with specifications in the Heritage Impact Assessment document. Included in the application are drawings 1606.800 key floor plan,1606.801A Belfry floor plan showing the bells and their framework and a location plan.
3. Applicant:
Fr John Millar - Cathedral House, Balmoral Road, Lancaster, Lancashire, LA1 3BT
