TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 4 (Part)
PARISH OF NORTH WINGFIELD ORDER 2026

North East Derbyshire District Council (the Council) gives notice that it has confirmed the above Order without modification.
The above order, made on 19 January 2026 will divert the whole width of that part of North Wingfield Public Footpath No 4 commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 4093 6543) and proceeding in a south south westerly direction to Point B (GR SK 4085 6525), a distance of approximately 195 metres or thereabouts to a 2 metre wide tarmacadam surfaced footpath with concrete edging commencing from Point A (GR SK 4093 6543) and proceeding in a generally west north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 23 metres to Point C (GR SK 4091 6543). Then changing to a tarmacadam car park junction crossing point measuring 2 metres wide with dropped kerbs and tactile paving in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 7 metres to Point D (GR SK 4090 6543). Then changing to a 2 metre wide tarmacadam surfaced footway with concrete edging in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 6 metres to Point E (GR SK 4090 6543). Then curving in a generally westerly direction for approximately 29 metres to Point F (GR SK 4087 6543). Then curving in a generally west south westerly direction for approximately 19 metres to Point G (GR SK 4085 6542). Then curving in a south south westerly direction for approximately 48 metres to Point H (GR SK 4083 6538). Then curving in a generally south west by south direction for approximately 49 metres to Point I (GR SK 4081 6534) Then turning in a generally south south easterly direction for approximately 95 metres to Point B (GR SK 4085 6525), a total distance of 276 metres or thereabouts.
A copy of the Confirmed Order made on 6 July 2026 may be inspected free of charge at the District Council Offices at 2013 Mill Lane Wingerworth Chesterfield S42 6NG from 9:00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) until 20 August 2026. A copy may also be viewed on the Council’s website

The Order comes into force on the date on which the Council certifies that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and wishing to question its validity, or any provision contained in the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or that any procedural requirement of the Act, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Confirmation of the Order, he or she may within six weeks from the 9 July 2026 (the date of publication of this notice) make an application to the High Court.
