What is planned?

SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL

The Town and Country Planning Act requires the following to be advertised:

P26/S1954/HD – Erection of single storey side extension following demolition of garage – Malthouse Orchard Brightwell-cum-sotwell Wallingford OX10 0RQ – CA

P26/S1957/LB – Addition of external outside wooden bar/shed – Cross Keys 48 High Street Wallingford OX10 0DB – LB; AM LBC

P26/S2018/LB – The proposed works comprise a programme of external repair and conservation-led restoration works for the following; careful removal of later impermeable cementitious render systems and non-breathable masonry coatings from the north gables, east façade and south gable elevation, together with the reinstatement of traditional breathable non-hydraulic lime putty render with harled finish.

West elevation will undergo careful removal of impermeable modern paint coatings from exposed masonry, localised masonry repairs, lime repointing and redecoration using breathable silicate mineral paint systems.

Additional works include localised masonry repairs throughout, including replacement of spalled bricks with matching wood-fired replacement bricks, crack stitching where required, and localised consolidation repairs.

Existing plastic rainwater goods will be removed and replaced with cast iron or aluminium gutters and downpipes in the traditional form.

Rainwater discharge arrangements will be improved through the installation of a new soakaway system within the south garden area to reduce moisture saturation adjacent to the building.

Existing timber windows and doors will be retained and repaired wherever possible, with localised timber repairs and redecoration using breathable exterior paint systems.
