(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
PART OF DERWENT CRESCENT, HOWDEN
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along:
• Phase 1 - Part of Derwent Crescent, Howden from its junction with Derwent Road northbound encompassing property numbers 69 and 147 commencing 27 July 2026 until 3 August 2026 and
• Phase 2 - Part of Derwent Crescent, Howden
from its junction with Derwent Road northbound encompassing property numbers 3 and 4 commencing 3 August 2026 until 10 August 2026.
The reason for the closures are to enable the proposed part of Derwent Crescent, Howden renewal of gas mains and services works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 15 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Derwent Crescent and Derwent Road, Howden CP, Howden Ward. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians. The Order will commence 27 July 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
