(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close Queens Road for the following extent: 9 to 107.
The closure is necessary for the following reason: to provide a safe working area for footway resurfacing works.
The Order will come into force on 20th July 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7th August 2026.
The primary alternative route for the affected traffic will be Queens Road.
The secondary alternative route for the affected traffic will be Lambeth Street, Harrow Drive, Lincoln Road.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
