The space occupied by the door and its rotted frame will be bricked in using as near as possible matching bricks fixed with lime mortar. An insulated cavity wall will be built up to comply with building regulations. The transom (borrowed light) window above will be replaced with a leaded light window, housed in an oak frame, in keeping with adjacent windows.
