Y 7/6 in the Parish of Closworth

Public Path Diversion Order, 2026

On 5 June 2026 Somerset Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order, as confirmed, is to divert that part of public path Y 7/6 running from OS grid ref ST 52224 10476 (point A on the order plan) in a generally southerly and then south westerly direction for approximately 156 metres to OS grid ref ST 52202 10347 (point B on the order plan) to a line running from OS grid reference ST 52220 10473 (point C on the order plan) in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 40 metres to OS grid ref ST 52192 10443 (point D on the order plan). It then turns and runs in a generally south easterly direction for 22 metres to OS grid ref ST 52205 10424 (point E on the order plan). It then runs in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 17 metres to OS grid ref ST52192 10413 (point F on the plan) before running in a generally south easterly then south westerly direction for approximately 72 metres to OS grid ref ST 52202 10347 (point B on the order plan). The width will be 2 metres as shown on the order map H04-2026. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel: 01823 355 644) at Somerset Council, County Hall, The Crescent, Taunton, TA1 4DY from 9.00am until 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and plan may be obtained free of charge or by contacting rightsofway@somerset.gov.uk

This order comes into force on the date on which Somerset Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
