I give notice that North Yorkshire Council has GRANTED planning permission in respect of the Application for Lateral southern extension to work & process limestone utilising the existing quarry access, wheel wash, workshop, staff facilities & weighbridge, mobile plant, construction of soil storage bunds, amenity planting & restoration to agriculture & Consolidation of existing mineral extraction, inert construction waste recycling, & ancillary uses (concrete batching, workshop, offices, messroom), utilising the existing quarry access & mobile plant with restoration to agriculture & nature conservation including the importation of soil at Whitewall Quarry, Welham Road, Norton on Derwent, YO17 9FH Application Ref no. NY/2023/0062/ENV & NY/2023/0195/ENV.
The application, accompanied by an Environmental Statement, has been determined by the Council. Members of the public may inspect information regarding & copies of the following: (i) the Notice of Decision dated 14/05/26 & 06/06/26; (ii) the Officer’s report on the application to the Strategic Planning Committee & the environmental information relevant to the decision which together contain; (a) the main reasons & considerations on which the decision is based including information about the participation of the public; (b) the main measures to avoid, reduce & where possible, offset the major effects of the development; & (iii) details regarding the right to challenge the validity of the decision & the procedures for doing so at North Yorkshire Council (Ryedale) Planning Department Ryedale House Ryedale House Malton North Yorkshire during normal office hours.
