NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES CONSENT

I give notice that Exolum Pipeline System Ltd is applying to North Somerset Council for hazardous substances consent for Schedule 1 Part 2 No.34 Petroleum products and alternative fuels (b) kerosenes (including jet fuels); and/or (e) alternative fuels serving the same purposes and with similar properties as regards flammability and environmental hazards as the products referred to in point (b) at Redcliffe Bay Petroleum Storage Depot, Down Road, Portishead, BS20 8LB.

The application seeks a new hazardous substances consent for Tanks 1 to 3 and variations to the existing hazardous substances consents for Tanks 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11 (06/P/2975/HZ2), Tanks 4, 5 and 9 (12/P/0714/HAZ) and Tanks 14 and 15 (17/P/1261/HAZ).

Members of the public may inspect a copy of the application at Redcliffe Bay Petroleum Storage Depot, Down Road, Portishead, BS20 8LB during all reasonable hours until 30 July 2026.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application should write to North Somerset Council, Place Directorate, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 1UJ by 30 July 2026.

North Somerset Council is the Hazardous Substances Authority and it will decide whether or not to grant consent, and if to grant, will decide on what conditions to include on the consent.
