What is planned?

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has received the following planning application for development in the Borough, which is hereby advertised.

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 (Article 15).

THE PROPOSALS BELOW ARE ADVERTISED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

(1) Affects a Conservation Area (2) Affects a Listed Building (3) Affects the setting of a Listed Building

(4) Departure from development plans (5) Major Development

277 Southtown Road, Great Yarmouth; Apply a colour matched spray rendering over the existing cement-based rendering to the side of the house. Application No 06/26/0458/LB (1-2)

Land south of Sycamore Avenue and Cherry Tree Avenue, Martham; Application for Outline Planning Permission including details of access, for residential development of 17 dwellings. (Details of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale reserved for future determination). Application No 06/26/0296/0 (3, 4, 5)

All representations will be recorded on a public file, be viewable on the Councils website, and will be referred to the Secretary of State’s inspector in the event of an appeal.

PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT OF NORTH QUAY, GREAT YARMOUTH

PUBLIC CONSULTATION EVENTS

Notice is hereby given that public consultation events will be held in relation to the proposed redevelopment of North Quay, Great Yarmouth.

The purpose of the consultations is to provide members of the public with the opportunity to view the proposals and provide feedback prior to the submission of a planning application.

The consultation events will take place at the following times and locations:

Thursday 9th July 2026

1200 to 1900

Great Yarmouth Town Hall, Hall Plain, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QF

Friday 10th July 2026

1000 to 1600

Great Yarmouth Town Hall, Hall Plain, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QF

Representatives of the project team will be present at both events.

All feedback received during the consultation period will be considered as part of the ongoing development of the proposal.
