THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:

Main Street, Avonbridge from its junction at Station Road, to a point 50m west of its junction with Bulliondale Road, from 07:30 on 29/06/26 until 17:00 on 05/07/26. The prohibition is to allow carriageway surfacing work to be carried out safely.
1. This Order temporarily closes Main Street, Avonbridge from its junction at Station Road, to a point 50m west of its junction with Bulliondale Road
2. Alternative Route is Main Street, B825, A801, B8047, B8028, and vice versa.

C27, Borrowstoun Road, Bo’ness for 2 days between 07:00 on 29/06/2026 and 17:00 on 19/07/2026. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway surface dressing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes C27, from its junction with the A904 to its junction with the Upper Bonnytoun-Bonsyde-Muirhouses Road.
2. The alternative route: C27 – A904 and vice versa.

Muirfield Road, Stenhousemuir from 09:30 until 18:00 on 29/06/26. The prohibition is to allow for Ironworks repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Muirfield Road, Stenhousemuir from a point adjacent to Main Street in a southerly direction for approximately 50 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: Main Street, Crownest Loan, Muirfield Road or vice versa.

Redding Road, Reddingmuirhead from 08:00 on 29/06/26 until 23:59 on 06/07/26. The prohibition is to allow for Utility works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Redding Road, Reddingmuirhead from a point adjacent to Canalside Drive in a southerly direction for approximately 100 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: Colliery Road, B805, B810, Redding Road or vice versa.

Station Road, Whitecross for 3 days between 07:00 on 29/06/2026 and 17:00 on 19/07/2026. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway surface dressing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes Station Road, Whitecross from the junction with Cockburn Crescent, to the junction with the B825.
2. The alternative route is: B825, Manuel Terrace, Station Road and vice versa.

B8028, Avonbridge for 2 days between 07:00 on 30/06/2026 and 17:00 on 20/07/2026. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway surface dressing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes B8028, Avonbridge from the junction with Blackston Road to the junction with the B825
2. The alternative route is: Main Street, Slamannan Road (B825), B8022, Main Street (B803), Lionthorn Road, Falkirk Road, B8028, Main Street (B8028), B8028 and vice versa.

Spence Street, Bonnybridge from 08:00 until 17:00 on 30/06/26. The prohibition is to allow for telecommunications works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Spence Street, Bonnybridge from a point adjacent to Ure Crescent in a westerly direction for approximately 150 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: Ure Crescent, Larbert Road, Drove Loan, Spence Street or vice versa.
