NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN UNDER REGULATION 25 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2017 THAT FURTHER INFORMATION AND EVIDENCE HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY BOLSOVER DISTRICT COUNCIL IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LOCAL PLANNING AUTHORITY AND IS AVAILABLE TO VIEW IN RESPECT OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT SUBMITTED WITH THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION WHICH WAS MADE ON 22.01.2026

Application Type: Full Planning Permission
Proposal: New leisure resort (sui generis) incorporating Water Park, adventure park, hotel, conferencing facilities, restaurants and staff accommodation with associated access, parking and landscaping. Application accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
Location: Land South Of Springfield Farm At The Corner Of Gapsick Lane And Worksop Road Whitwell Common
Applicant: Great Lakes UK Ltd And Waystone Ltd
The proposal comprises Major Development, constituting Environmental Impact Assessment Development that affects the setting of a Listed Building, the character or appearance of a Conservation Area and a Public Right of Way and does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan for the area.
Further information, including plans, documents and emails have been received during the application process and Bolsover District Council wishes to provide opportunity for the local community to consider the submitted information, and provide comment if required.
