What is planned?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

Selby High School

Notice is given in accordance with section

19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act

2006 that North Yorkshire Council, County

Hall, Northallerton, DL7 8AD, intends to

make prescribed alterations to Selby High

School Specialist School for the Arts and

Science (Community School), Leeds Road,

Selby, North Yorkshire, YO8 4HT, to add

provision reserved for children with special

educational needs and disabilities in the

form of targeted mainstream provision from

1 September 2026. This will support up to

8 full time pupils with communication and

interaction needs.

St Martin's Church of England Voluntary

Aided Primary School, Scarborough

Notice is given in accordance with section

19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act

2006 that North Yorkshire Council, County

Hall, Northallerton, DL7 8AD, intends to

make prescribed alterations to St Martin's

Church of England Voluntary Aided

Primary School, Scarborough, Holbeck Hill,

Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 3BW,

to add provision reserved for children with

special educational needs and disabilities

in the form of targeted mainstream

provision from 1 September 2026. This will

support up to 16 full time pupils with

communication and interaction and Social,

Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Alverton Primary School, Northallerton

Notice is given that North Yorkshire Council

intends to increase the number of places at

Alverton Primary School (Community

School), Mount Road, Northallerton, North

Yorkshire, DL6 1RB from 8 to 16 reserved

for children with special educational needs

and disabilities at the existing targeted

mainstream provision from 1 September

2026.

Thirsk School and Sixth Form

Notice is given that North Yorkshire Council

intends to transfer the responsibility of the

existing Targeted Mainstream Provision for

children and young people with special

educational needs and disabilities

delivered at Thirsk School and Sixth Form

from the Hambleton and Richmond Pupil

Referral Service to Thirsk School and Sixth

Form from 1 September 2026.
