Proposal: Raise the central chimney stack and the south east chimney stack with 700mm traditional clay pots and courses of matching brickwork to achieve 1800mm height above the thatch; line the flues of these chimneys and fit new woodburners to replace existing; relocate the oil tank to the south; fit ASHP beneath the west elevation kitchen window and upgrade the existing wet radiator heating system; replace door on west elevation with a traditionally detailed, ledge door, to be painted and fitted with an upper glazed panel; provide a shower room with WC in the modern utility room, including provision of insulation in the roof and a humidistat extraction ventilator in the modern utility room window; remove existing greenhouse and replace with re-sited greenhouse.

T1, Oak: whole crown reduction by approximately 1–2m to leave a height of approximately 16m and spread of approximately 11–12m.

T3, Ash: whole crown reduction by approximately 0.5–1m leaving a height of approximately 5m and spread of approximately 2–3m.

T4, Maple: prune overhanging branches back to the boundary, sympathetically to keep shape and form.

Proposal:

T1: Beech – remove and dismantle as exhibiting multiple Ganoderma fruiting bodies at the base of the stem. Fungal decay is considered likely to be affecting the structural integrity of the tree. Tree to be dismantled in sections and all arisings retained on site.

T2: Fir – remove and dismantle to ground level. All timber to be retained on site and all brash to be chipped.

T3: Fir – remove and dismantle to ground level. All timber to be retained on site and all brash to be chipped.

T4: English Oak – remove three identified lower limbs to provide increased clearance.

T5: English Oak – remove selected lower branch(es) to provide increased clearance.
