(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 23 June 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order,to allow BT Works

Temporary Road Closure – C137, Sorn
C137 - From junction with B743 to junction U718 for 340m
The Order commences on 07 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 07 July 2026 at 08:00 until 14 July 2026at 17:00

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route

The Order commences on 08 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 08 July 2026 at 08:00 until 21 July2026 at 15:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route

An alternative route is Maxwood Road, Henrietta Street, Polwarth Street, Barrmill Road and vice versa

On 23 June 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic(Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Street lighting works.

No Waiting At Any Time -
Morris Lane - from it’s junction with Fultons Lane to its junction with Boyd Street both side of carriageway.

Boyd Street - from its junction with Dean Lane for its full length both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 06 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. 

The works are expected to commence from 06 July 2026 at 07:30 with the restrictions remaining in place until 07 August 2026 at17:00. 

Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed, the works will be carried out in phases and restrictions will be implemented only when required.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
( Castle Road , Dunure)

(Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 18 June 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing

Temporary Road Closure – Castle Road , Dunure

Phase 1 - From Station Road to one half of the junction at
Kennedy Drive for 250m.

Phase 2 - From other half of the junction at Kennedy
Drive to No.31 Castle Road for 300m.

No Waiting At Any Time - Castle Road , Dunure

Phase 1 - From Station Road to one half of the junction at

Kennedy Drive for 250m both sides of carriageway.

Phase 2 - From other half of the junction at Kennedy

Drive to No.31 Castle Road for 300m both sides of carriageway.

Phase 1 Dates - Monday 6th July until Monday 13th July

Phase 2 Dates - Tuesday 14th July until Monday 20th July

The Order commences on 06 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 06 July 2026 at 08:00 until 20 July2026 at 16:00

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and16:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so

An alternative route will be signed via Station Road turning right on to A719 Ayr Road before turning right onto Castle Road and vice versa.
