What is planned?

APPLICATION FOR MLA/2026/00114–Jet Jetty Demolition Works

Notice is hereby given that Mr Ian Crofts, Robert Brett House, Ashford Road, Canterbury, Kent, England has applied to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, Part 4, for a marine licence to undertake the demolishing, removing and replacing the deteriorating elements of Jet Jetty, including the termination of existing utilities and services, the demolition and removal of the existing approach jetty structure, including collapsed piles and approach piles, deck, and associated equipment. Works to the jetty head and dolphins will include removal, replacement, or strengthening of components such as catwalks, ladders, and Aids to Navigation

Representations in respect of the application should ordinarily be made by:- Visiting the MMO Public Register (www.gov.uk/check-marine-licence-register) and accessing the Public Representation section of case reference MLA/2026/00114.

However, we will also accept representations via the following formats:- By email to marine.consents@marinemanagement.org.uk; or alternatively- By letter addressed to Marine Management Organisation, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR

In all cases, correspondence must:- Be received within 28 days of the date of the first notice 25/06/2026- Quote the case reference; and- Include an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent.The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.
