TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make Orders under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Orders prohibits all through traffic on the following, and as and when signage indicates:
KILLINGWORTH
Station Road’s Level Crossing.
An alternate route is available via Station Road, Northumbrian Way, Southgate, Great Lime Road, Park Terrace, Killingworth Drive.
The proposed temporary Order is required to lift out level crossing for PL Tamper to work through.
The Order will come into force on 7th July 2026 for a period not exceeding 1 day. Working hours will be from 23:00 - 06:00.

LONGBENTON
Hailsham Avenue from the junction with Goathland Avenue to the lane behind Wheatfield Grove.
An alternate route is available via Goathland Avenue, Wheafield Grove, Lambourne Avenue.
The proposed temporary Order is required for a safe working area while drainage works are undertaken.
The Order will come into force on 20th July 2026 lasting until the 28th August 2026.

NORTH SHIELDS
Balmoral Gardens Lane to the rear of numbers 61-71 Balmoral Gardens.
An alternate route is available via Osborne Gardens Lane, Queen Alexandra Road, Walton Avenue Lane. The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and install a boundary box and meter.
The Order will come into force on 7th July 2026 for a period not exceeding 4 days.

An alternate route is available via Hotspur Street, Latimer Street, Percy Park Road. Access to be given to residents when possible.
The proposed temporary Order is required for a cleanse and CCTV survey to the sewer.
The Order will come into force on 24th July 2026 for a period not exceeding 1 day.

The Order will come into force on 13th July 2026 for a period not exceeding 2 days
