Notice Of Stopping Up Order Proposed By The London Borough Of Islington Pursuant To Section 247 Of The Town And Country Planning Act 1990

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ISLINGTON hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following seven areas of public highway which are shown zebra hatched black on the plan attached to the draft Order:

1: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 7.9 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532903.28, 181800.26 to 532900.60, 181792.84.

2: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 2.2 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532899.54, 181789.89 to 532898.80, 181787.85.

3: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 2.2 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532897.71, 181784.83 to 532896.98, 181782.79.

4: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 2.2 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532895.88, 181779.73 to 532895.14, 181777.69.

5: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 2.2 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532894.04, 181774.65 to 532893.31, 181772.61.

6: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 2.2 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532892.21, 181769.57 to 532891.48, 181767.53.

7: an area of highway located on Wilson Street 7.8 metres in length and 0.1 metres in width, terminal points from 532890.38, 181764.48 to 532891.48, 181767.53.

If The Order Is Made, the stopping up will be authorised in order to enable the development described in the schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted on 9 June 2025 under reference P2024/3548/FUL in respect of land known as 7-21 Wilson Street, London, EC2M 2SN.

Copies Of The Draft Order And The Relevant Plan May Be Inspected free of charge during normal office hours (9:00am until 5:00pm) at the Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD, or electronic copies can be requested by emailing: planninglawteam@islington.gov.uk.

Any Person May Object to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 18 June 2026 by notice to: The Director Of Law & Governance, Islington Council, 222 Upper Street, London, N1 1XR, (marked for the attention of: Laura Avery) or by email to: planninglawteam@islington.gov.uk, quoting reference 20423668.

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

Description Of The Development

Demolition of existing roof structure and erection of a replacement single-storey roof extension with a rooftop pavilion, plant enclosures and new plant, solar PV panels and roof terrace above, erection of a lower ground and ground floor rear extension, erection of rear terraces with railing surrounds to each floor level, installation of a replacement façade and associated internal, external and landscaping alterations (including two new bin stores and external cycle parking within the rear lightwell) in connection with the provision of additional office floorspace (Class E).
